Help – How to Mark Your Video as Published

Now that your masterpiece is complete, it’s time to get it loaded onto YouTube. We wont be discussing the YouTube process here. And, no, we don’t upload the video to YouTube for you. This article discusses the following:

  1. How to use your TubeItUp Project data when publishing your video to YouTube.
  2. How to mark you video as published in TubeItUp.

Step 1 – Publish Your Video to YouTube

(Free and above)

While your video is uploading to YouTube, you will have the opportunity to add your Title, Description and Tags. These are easily copied from TubeItUp to YouTube using the Copy to Clipboard function.

Step 2 – Select Publish on TubeItUp

(Silver and above)

Once your video has finished uploading to YouTube, it’s time to mark it as published in TubeItUp. This has three substantial benefits:

  1. Organizationally, it makes easy to differentiate between videos that are published or still in the Project phase.
  2. It will allow you to push TubeItUp optimization updates to YouTube automatically (if this feature is available on your account).
  3. The published video will automatically be added to your Links database and assigned a TBIU Link.

When your ready, select the Publish Video button (shown below).

After pressing the Publish Video button, you will be presented with the following screen to record the published date and to provide the YouTube Video URL. Both fields are mandatory if you wish to mark your video as Published.

Link your Video to YouTube

You can find your YouTube Video URL in YouTube Creator Studio. Simply copy that URL and paste it here.

FAQ Regarding Linking Videos

  1. Your account must have rights to access the video on YouTube Creator Studio. This is granted through your Google Login.
  2. If you don’t have rights to access the video on YouTube Creator Studio, TubeItUp will not allow you to link the video.
  3. A link to the video will automatically be added to your personal Links Database.

Managing Linked VideosIf you mistakenly link to the wrong video, you can correct your mistake. You have the ability to Link a New video or Unlink the Video.

If you unlink a video, it will not change the link in your personal Links Database.
