Help – Published Videos Overview

The purpose of the Published Videos space is to allow you to continue to optimize videos that have already been released on YouTube. It can be used for videos that were published before you joined TubeItUp and videos that you optimized within TubeItUp and marked as published. If you promoted a video to the published status within TubeItUp, mush of the legwork has already been accomplished, and, the use of TubeItUp for published videos is nearly identical to the process of optimizing a video in the Project space.

“In an ideal world, TubeItUp believes that you should start planning your keywords, title, description and thumbnail near the beginning of the video creation process, not the end.”

Managing Published Videos is a premium feature. If you have a free account, you will need to manage your published videos as a Project.

Notes about Importing Videos:

  1. If the video exists on your Project list (determined by matching the Titles), TubeItUp will automatically match the video and mark the Project as Published. This will overwrite your Project Description and Project Keywords. Links associated with the project will remain unchanged, however, you will need to re-add the Links (and other) shortcodes to the Description Builder.
  2. If you believe that you already have the video in TubeItUp and it does not automatically match, it’s most likely due to differing titles. You can either: 1) change the title in TubeItUp to match the YouTube video and try again; or 2) Import the video and delete the old Project. This will largely depend on if you have affiliate links associated with the project.
  3. If the URL of the video is already associated with a Published Video in TubeItUp, it will not be available for import from YouTube.
  4. You can only import 20 videos at one time. If you have a Silver account, your overall limit is 20 videos. Gold and above can import an unlimited amount in blocks of 20 videos.
